Shakespeare Series: Hamlet (Week 1)

March 6, 2020 @ 10:15 am - 12:15 pm

Superlatives abound when describing Hamlet, Shakespeare’s longest, most performed, most quoted, and one of the most influential works of all literature. The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark tells the story of Prince Hamlet who seeks revenge upon his uncle, Claudius, after Claudius murders Hamlet’s father in order to seize the throne and marry Hamlet’s mother Gertrude.

Join us when we kick off the first of this five-part series as we explore through reading and discussion the reasons Hamlet endures. We will meet every Friday morning in March and conclude the first Friday in April.

Local Shakespearean scholar, actor, and director Leah Adcock-Starr will facilitate the discussion and share her insights. Bring a copy of the play and follow along!
