A message from Riley:
Your support means the world to me. This scholarship will enable me to complete my studies this upcoming quarter and contribute to the crucial role that libraries play in 21st-century America.
We are facing challenging times that may become even more difficult. I have completed coursework in advocacy, data curation and analysis, and database programming. Thanks to your generosity, I will be able to finish my studies in community outreach, international philanthropy, and information architecture. This will empower me to support the library’s mission of serving as a cornerstone for resilient communities in the future.
The knowledge I have gained has already proven invaluable. Because of your donation, I had the opportunity to visit Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, this summer. There, I established relationships with nonprofit organizations and contributed to their community support efforts by developing websites to enhance their visibility. This experience has also inspired me to research changes faced by community support agencies in developing countries. Your donation extends beyond my personal benefit; it has a global impact.
